On Tuesday, April 24th, Cal Actuarial League will be hosting an Internship Experience Presentation where several of our officers will be presenting what they learned at their internships as well as their overall experiences in each respective actuarial field. This will be extremely helpful for those students who are still unsure about the actuarial career path or for those wondering what an actuarial internship is like. As usual, please remember that this is a members exclusive event so don’t forget to bring your membership cards. You may also purchase lifetime membership for $5 at the event.

NewsAs the semester comes to a close, we must begin preparing ourselves for the next. That said, Cal Actuarial League is now looking for enthusiastic, fresh new faces to join the officer team for the Fall 2012 semester.
Becoming an officer will not only give you leadership development and teamwork opportunities, but will also allow you to build a considerable network of both fellow actuarial students, and professionals working in some of the world’s largest actuarial firms. At the same time, you will play an important role in the planning and execution of our events, ranging from Excel workshops and company info-sessions, to our most anticipated event of the Fall: The Actuarial Career Fair.
The officer application and officer descriptions are attached to this e-mail. Please read them carefully, and ensure that the instructions given in the application are adhered to. Applications are due on Monday, April 23rd, 2012 at 11:59PM and must be sent to calapps@gmail.com with the subject, “[CAL] Fall 2012 Officer Application”. Interviews will be conducted on Thursday, April 26th, and Friday, April 27th. Any questions about the application should be sent to Eric Xu at eric.xu@berkeley.edu.
We encourage everybody to apply and help the Cal Actuarial League continue to provide high quality exam preparation resources, professional development workshops, and internship opportunities to the aspiring actuaries of UC Berkeley.
