We hope everyone has had a great semester, and we appreciate your active participation in our events this fall! As the fall semester comes to a close, Cal Actuarial League is starting to prepare for Spring 2014. Therefore, we are now looking for enthusiastic, new faces to join our officer team for the upcoming semester.
Being an officer of Cal Actuarial League will not only give you leadership development and teamwork building opportunities, but will also allow you to build a network of both fellow actuarial students and professionals working in the world’s largest actuarial firms. At the same time, you will play an important role in planning and executing our events, ranging from Excel workshops and company info-sessions, to our most anticipated event of the spring semester: The Annual Actuarial Case Competition.
You can find the officer application and the position descriptions in the attached documents. Please read them carefully and follow all directions. Applications are due on Tuesday, December 3rd at 11:59pm
and must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “[CAL] Spring 2014 Officer Application.” Interviews will be conducted on Thursday, December 5th through Sunday December 8th. Any questions about the application should be sent to Johanna Tseng at email@example.com
We believe that all of our members can bring unique skills and qualities to our club, and we strongly encourage you to apply and help the Cal Actuarial League continue to provide high quality exam preparation resources, professional development workshops, and internship opportunities to the aspiring actuaries at UC Berkeley.
